About Us
At Ecovillage Tours, we connect people with ecovillages globally through small group travel experiences. Our tours are designed to provide participants with inspiration, relationships, and practical guidance on regenerative community living from our partner communities.
Job Summary
We are looking for enthusiastic Ecovillage Tour Guides to lead diverse groups to ecovillages around the world. This role involves sharing knowledge, ensuring safety, and helping participants engage with and learn from the communities.
Time commitment: Based on tour schedules. Tours are typically 5-15 days in duration.
Initially, the role will involve a very limited number of tours per year, with potential for expansion as our company continues to grow.
Compensation: Varies with experience. Includes travel expenses + tips. Contractor role.
Location: Global.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct tours, providing informative and engaging experiences.
Manage group dynamics and facilitate group activities.
Document tours through photography and videography.
Handle travel arrangements, room assignments, and other logistics.
Drive participants to tour stops.
Collaborate with local communities and our team for smooth tour operations.
Communication with management for pre-tour briefings and post-tour feedback.
Ensure group safety.
Qualifications
Experience in tour guiding or equivalent experience managing group programs.
Preference for knowledge of ecovillages, including time spent living in or visiting intentional communities.
Multilingual abilities are beneficial.
Skills in photography and videography.
Ability to lead and facilitate group activities.
Background in sustainability, ecovillage design, or related fields is an asset.
Excellent driving record and skills.
Strong team player with effective communication skills.
Self-reliance in problem-solving and decision-making to effectively handle challenges during tours.
